Owl and A Green Dog, Too

Why Green Dog? My politician grandfather was a yellow dog Democrat, and I have a bit of the blue dog Democrat in me--so I guess that makes me a Green Dog D. I grew up in Tennessee but I've lived all my adult life in California--again I'm neither one nor the other, just a mongrel who may post something on politics from time to time.
